St. Patrick's Day is one of those holidays that is really celebrated here in the states more than anywhere else.  And we usually go all out for it  And most of the traditions are based in the United States instead of in Ireland.  It's one of those days where everyone is Irish!  So, ya know, celebrate accordingly.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU DON'T WEAR GREEN ON ST PATRICK'S DAY

Traditionally, people wear something green on St Patrick's Day.  And people who don't are usually considered to not be very festive.  And the sayings on the shirts have gotten more and more creative throughout the years.  But what is you are out and you don't don the green attire?  You might get PINCHED!!  No green? Get pinched.  That's the tradition.

WHAT COLOR IS SOMETHING THAT COULD BE CONSIDERED OFFENSIVE BY SOME

I never thought any of the colors that people wore on St. Patrick's Day could be considered as offensive.  But apparently, there is a color that you shouldn't wear - depending on what your beliefs are - ORANGE!  Now, here's the odd thing.  There is orange in the Irish flag, so that's where it gets a little confusing.  Why is orange sometimes considered as offensive by some?

...some may wear orange to symbolise Protestant heritage or solidarity with Northern Ireland.

And that is the very reason why some other people may find it offensive.  See?  It depends on what your beliefs and heritage stands.  So, how would you know if you are going to offend someone or not?  Simple answer - you won't.  That's why mose people just opt for the green. All good, and no one will be offended, unless there is something offensive written on your shirt.  I've seen a few of those around.  Still all in fun.
