Stewartville, MN (KROC-AM News)- A deer-motorcycle collision sent a Chatfield man to the hospital.

The State Patrol responded to the crash in Olmsted County shortly before 6:30 Friday morning. 

The motorcyclist was the only person involved in the crash

50-Year-Old Chatfield Man Brought to Hospital After Hitting Deer on Hwy. 30 Near Stewartville

The motorcycle-deer collision occurred on Hwy. 30 at the intersection of 57th Ave. SE, which is about four miles east of Stewartville. 

50-year-old Jeremy Lee Johnson was identified as the motorcycle operator. He was brought to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol. 

Johnson was traveling west when he hit the deer. He was not wearing a helmet and not under the influence of alcohol, according to the state crash report

Mayo Clinic Ambulance, the Stewartville Fire Department and the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the crash.
