Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Olmsted County Sheriff's Office this afternoon released a statement concerning the presence of Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents at the Government Center in downtown Rochester.

The statement says that Rochester police notified the Sheriff's Office that the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Department was going to have agents at the Olmsted County Government Center today. It went on to say "the agents arrived at Court Security Screening, per our procedure with any outside law enforcement agencies, we provided an escort through the public areas of the government center.

At the time the statement was issued, the Sheriff's Office indicated the ICE agents were no longer at the facility.

The federal agency has not released any information about the activities of its agents at the Government Center.
