48-year-old Daniel Wade Wood of Plainview was charged in October of 2023 with a gross misdemeanor count of interfering with privacy at home.
The criminal complaint says the woman reported finding the camera screwed into a space between the bedroom’s wall and an unfinished ceiling after hearing it make a noise that sounded like running water.

Investigators executed a search warrant for Wood’s phone and found multiple screen shot images that appeared to be from the camera depicting the victim naked or barely clothed.
The screen shots were taken between April and May of 2023, the complaint says.
Wood pleaded guilty to the charge against him. He’s scheduled to be sentenced in July.
