
Police Arrest Suspect in Rochester Convenience Store Robbery
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester police are reporting an arrest in connection with an armed robbery at a Rochester convenience store last weekend.
Police Department Communications Coordinator Amanda Grayson says officers responded to a report of a robbery around 9:45 Saturday night at the Marathon Apollo Convenience Store at the corner of 4th Street and 11th Avenue Southeast. Officers were told that a man entered the business armed with a handgun, demanded money, and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The Robber Initially Eluded Police
Grayson says a drone and a K9 officer were deployed at the scene, but the suspect could not be located. Investigators did find a handgun, an ammunition magazine, and a bullet lying in the nearby roadway.
The Suspect is Expected in Court Later Today
The suspected robber, identified as 54-year-old Miguel Rodriguez of Rochester, was taken into custody on Thursday. He is awaiting arraignment on possible charges of felony assault, threats of violence, theft, and disorderly conduct.
