The initial crash investigation indicates the school bus had been traveling west on Viking Blvd and was stopped while letting children off at a bus stop when it was rear ended by a sedan. Once he was extricated, the driver of the sedan was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital in stable condition, according to a news release from the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office.

No children or adults on the bus were hurt. Deputies cited the driver for duty to drive with due care - speed greater than reasonable. The driver's name has not been released. The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the crash.
