A 6-Foot Boa Constrictor Was Found In An Iowa Shopping Cart

In today's episode of 'Nightmares in Real Life', a huge snake was found in a shopping cart in Iowa.

Snakes, of any size or type, are not the coziest animals and when they pop up in normal places unexpectedly, it's arguably a reason to set fire to wherever they came from. I don't want to get close enough to the thing to figure out if it's venomous or not.

Grocery shopping isn't fun either and this person's experience would make me just leave the store.

The Nope Rope That Needed It's Target Run Too

The animal was found curled up and comfy in a shopping cart at a Target in Sioux City on Saturday morning. The animal in question, according to UPI, is a Colombian red-tailed boa constrictor. This dude:

They found it nestled in the cart when they were collecting the shopping carts from the outdoor corral. Police responded to the Sunnybrook Drive Target in response to the discovery.

UPI says animal control officers are investigating whether or not the animal was intentionally abandoned in the cart.

Now, according to Live Science, boa constrictors are not venomous, but they kill their prey by squeezing them. Fangs or no fangs, it still doesn't make this danger noodle one that I would be fine running into. Worst Target run ever. But maybe the snake enjoyed itself.

And for the record, whether or not you have a fear of snakes, yes you should always put your shopping cart in the corral.
