Century High School Marching Band in Rochester, Minnesota Playing Live at Walt Disney World

Last Friday, three coach buses left Rochester, Minnesota full of amazing students from Century High School for a 25+ hour ride to Orlando, Florida.  And yesterday, those kids played their hearts out as they marched through Main Street and throughout Magic Kingdom as kids and families watched and cheered.

Last night, I was checking out videos and photos from the exciting day for these students on a few different Facebook and Instagram pages because one of my kids is with this awesome group.  (If you look closely, he is the one standing just behind the banner on the left side with the trombone.)

Century High School Marching Band...you are all awesome!  Congrats on your big moment at Magic Kingdom and I hope your trip is full of more magical moments.

Century High School's Marching Band Trip to Disney is Giving Me a Deja Vu Moment

I'm having a bit of a deja vu moment right now.  About (cough cough) 20 years ago, I went to Orlando, Florida with my high school marching band from Fort Dodge, Iowa, and marched along Main Street.  It's pretty amazing that my own child is having this same opportunity this week.

What is one memory that you have from a high school performance or trip?

I'd have to really think hard to remember if there were any other trips that we went on in high school for band.  I played sports too so I was constantly traveling with basketball and volleyball as well.  The trip to Disney was by far one of my favorite moments ever though.  What's your favorite memory from school?  I'd love to hear about it!  Send me a note over on my Facebook page - Jessica On The Radio.
