New Mystery Movie Being Filmed in Small Town Minnesota This Summer
Directors seem to be taking notice that Minnesota is a pretty cool place to film their next project.
It doesn't matter if it's a massive cast or a little Indie film, I still love that so many movies have been filmed in the Land of 10,000 Lakes lately.
Movies Filmed in Minnesota Recently
There have been a few Christmas movies shot in Minnesota in the past few years, like 'Merry Kiss Cam', 'The Christmas Listing', and 'Rescuing Christmas'.
Other movies filmed in Minnesota recently include 'Unholy Communion' and 'Voice of Shadows'. The latter was filmed at a bed and breakfast in Lanesboro.

Now, we've got another movie that's going to be filmed in Minnesota soon, starting in June, actually. It's going to be a mystery, and it sounds super good.

Mystery Movie Called 'Small Town Girl' Being Filmed in Minnesota
The movie is called 'Small Town Girl' and it's going to be filmed in northern Minnesota in the Chisholm and Hibbing areas.
It's an Indie movie, so it's a small production, but the synopsis sounds really good:
In a small Midwestern town in 1973, the disappearance of a 14-year-old girl unravels buried secrets, forcing an unlikely local to confront disturbing truths and implicate two suspects, only for an unexpected twist to shock the community years later.
I'm a big mystery fan, so I'm all for this!
Casting for the main parts is already complete, but if you want to try out for a background role, they are still taking applications for that until June 6th at noon.
They're hoping to film the movie in 18 days (!) starting June 9 and going until around July 2nd. They mention that filming, at least for the background characters, will not be happening on the weekends.
I'm very impressed with their ambition to film a whole movie in 18 days!
It will be really cool to see the final product and maybe even be able to pick out some of the places that they filmed.
