An Illinois mother is kicking off 2026 in the best way possible after winning the Lucky Day Lotto jackpot in the Christmas Day drawing.  Yes, Christmas Day.  Because, apparently, Santa does work with the Illinois Lottery.

The winner, who chose to stay anonymous and goes by the nickname, "Work Mom," bought her ticket online and picked the numbers herself.  No quick picks, no random luck... these wear meaningful numbers ties to birthday for her and her kids!  I guess you could say moms' instincts really do know best.

She was at home, minding her business, just watching TV when she got an email saying she won.  Her first thought?  Obviously it had to be fake.  Because if an email tells you that you're $350,000 richer, you'd probably delete it and move on with your night.  So, she double-checked the Illinois Lottery app just be be sure it was real.

Yep, it was.

She matched all five numbers: 4, 10, 12, 30, and 31.  Suddenly, Christmas had a whole new meaning!
