Lunchroom to Leisure: Cafeteria Worker Retires After Hubby's $1M Win

Angie Sharp, from Mt. Carmel in southeastern Illinois, had spent years at a local grade school serving school lunches to thousands of kids.  She's one of those employees who never missed a day of work!  But her routine changed overnight after her husband, David, bought a $5 Cash Grab ticket at a Marathon Gas Station he is  regular at.  That ticket ended up getting him more than five bucks... $1,000,000.

The best part is that he scratched off the ticket in his truck, looked at the prize thinking he was reading it wrong, and was so shocked he went back inside to confirm it was real.  Imagine... being the cashier and having someone walk in with a ticket like that!

Angie not only gets to retire early, but she's planning a couple's vacation to splurge a little bit.  He's looking to get a brand new truck and finally visit an aquarium they've really been wanting to see.

Honestly, this is such a wholesome way to spend your winnings a little bit!  David's friends and family found out he won before he even told them, and now that gas station is a hotspot for lottery players.  I mean, someone else could strike big, too!

This is a reminder that sometimes luck is really in your corner.  If it happened to David and Angie, it can happen to anybody.  Good luck and play responsibly.
