If there was one thing that I never really cared for when it came to dining at McDonald’s, it was getting my own soda. Not sure why, but it ranked with pumping my own ketchup into those tiny paper cups as far as things that would annoy me.

It’s probably because I remember a time when I didn't have to do that, and the same went for ketchup, too.

McDonald’s Set to Phase Out Self-Serve Beverage Stations by 2032

Well, it looks like McDonald’s is turning back the clock on those self-service pop machines inside their restaurants.

The news came down just yesterday, they will be phasing those things out and should be completely gone as McDonald’s announced a gradual rollout through 2032.

How the Internet is Reacting to the Loss of Free Refills

Most of them will be removed as stores get updated or remodeled, so you’ll likely not notice, but the internet does have some feelings about self-serve pop machines being eliminated.

Mostly from people who are concerned that they no longer get their free refills. There are also folks who like to DIY their own drink concoctions by mixing and matching.
