I don't know about you, but it feels like construction season in Rockford is never going to end. It's detour after detour, everywhere!
Everywhere you turn right now, there's a detour, ramp closure, and construction crews working around the clock to get our roads fixed. It's very overstimulating to drive through most of the time, it feels like an obstacle course to get from point A to point B.

I just saw a guy disregard all the orange cones on North 2nd and nearly miss a hole that was freshly dug. That's why we need to be extremely careful this time of year. Nobody wants to end up with a damaged car, or worse, in the hospital.
But we all have to remember this is only temporary! Crews are working to improve our roads, so staying alert, leaving extra early, and being patient is more important than ever. I mean, one wrong move and a tow truck is pulling you out of a hole that could've been avoided. Let's keep calm and try to practice safe driving this construction season!
