I've been thinking about this way too long (as I do), and I've finally come to a conclusion: if Rockford was a Thanksgiving dish, it what do you think it would be?  Think about it, make your decision, and scroll down to see if I said the exact same thing!

I feel like Rockford is the kind of dish that's been through some stuff.  Maybe it's a little messy, with a mix of ingredients that don't always make sense.  But somehow, it works and turns out delicious.

Have an idea of what I'm going to say?

If Rockford Was A Thanksgiving Dish, It’d Definitely Be This

It's comforting.  It's at every Thanksgiving table.  Sometimes, it's left untouched.

Stuffing.  STUFFING!  It's so underrated, in my opinion.  Stuffing is made from scraps and leftover bread, turned into something worth fighting your cousins over.  And if that's not the perfect metaphor for Rockford, I don't know what is.  Over the last several years, we've turned this city into art.  It has new venues, studios, new parking pavilions, and events every weekend!

Plus, stuffing is the thing people go back for.  You might load up your plate with everything at first, but when you return for seconds, you instantly think, "man, I'm glad I came back for more."  Exactly how a lot of people feel about Rockford.  They think moving away will fix all their problems, but when they return to visit family, they realize they've been missing out on some amazing things here.

In the end, I'd stick to stuffing as the most relatable to Rockford.  Weird, but accurate.
