Once again, a criminal in Illinois attracts attention to himself, and it ends up getting him arrested. It's pretty simple if you ask me. If you're a wanted fugitive or breaking the law, keep on the down low. This guy almost hits a police car when getting off of a busy highway. That starts a police chase that gets him arrested.

The cop that the driver almost hits pulls him over. He gives the officer a fake name. The cop sees drug paraphernalia and disguises in the car, so he tells the suspect to get out of the car. The guy drives off instead and starts the high-speed chase. The fugitive even drives over spikes, but that doesn't stop him, even with flat tires.

The driver pulls into a cornfield and starts running. He's wearing camouflage to avoid being seen by the cops. The officers bring in a drone with thermal imaging, so it doesn't take long to track down and arrest the suspect. All because he was driving recklessly.

The Grundy County Sheriff's Office issued a press release Tuesday to announce the recent arrest of 32-year-old Cameron Cudney, a fugitive wanted for burglaries, criminal damage to property, and aggravated fleeing from police in Ogle, Vermillion, and Lawrence counties.

 

According to police, Cudney was quickly apprehended and found to be in possession of $10,296 in cash, believed to be related to ongoing burglary investigations.

 

No weapons were found on his person at the time of arrest, Grundy County officials said.
