Watch Out For Attacking Birds In Rockford If You Get Too Close

Around our house and in the neighborhood, we've got a lot of nature going on. There are so many animals and birds hanging out, it's really cool. We'll chill out on our porch or watch out the window. It's very relaxing. We find it very interesting that the kinds of creatures we experience are just in our front yard. I think it's something you appreciate more when you get older. I'll also see many when I walk on the different bike paths in town.

Now, there's another creature I have to watch out for.

Apparently, I had a run-in with a Red Wing Blackbird. Here's some words of advice. Stay away from them and their nests, especially during mating season. These birds are very protective and aggressive. Right after it happened, I saw a warning sign. I won't be taking that shortcut anymore.
