The Illinois Department of Labor has settled with an Illinois Trampoline park owner to enhance safety across all of the park's locations in the state.

Safety Improvements to Trampoline Park Locations Across Illinois

According to a press release from the Illinois Governor's Office, this agreement follows an inspection by IDOL’s Amusement Rides and Attraction Safety Division (ARAS), which issued a stop order at the Elevate Trampoline Park's Milan location in March 2024, prohibiting use of its main trampoline court until specific safety issues were addressed.

However, upon a reinspection in May, ARAS discovered that the Milan park had continued operations on its main trampoline court despite the stop order.

Planned renovations include technology-integrated features, a dedicated soft play area for young children, and advanced slides that comply with state safety standards.

Commitment to Compliance and Public Safety

Elevate will also pay civil penalties to the Illinois Department of Labor, reinforcing its commitment to safety.

Public safety is always IDOL’s top priority when we’re inspecting amusement rides and attractions. This settlement agreement ensures these Elevate Trampoline Park locations in Illinois will comply with the safety regulations in place to protect visitors. -Jane Flanagan, Director of the Illinois Department of Labor

This agreement highlights Illinois’ commitment to enforcing amusement park safety standards, ensuring safe and enjoyable experiences for families across the state.
