Everyone loves food, I mean duh! And now we can get excited for more food because this month there are 5 new restaurants in the Twin Cities that are opening next month!

I came across this article from Bring Me The News and immediately got excited because I live next to one of these and have been waiting for when it might open.

To start, the California-based salad chain Sweetgreen not only opened its first location in Minnesota this fall but will have another one open soon! The fast-casual salad shop known for locally-sourced ingredients will be opening a total of four locations in the Twin Cities!

According to Bring Me The News, “The state’s first location, at the Galleria in Edina, opened in September and the second location, at the former Moose & Sadie’s space in Minneapolis’ North Loop, is set to open Oct. 25.”

Not only this but there will be a Sweetgreen located on the corner of Grand Avenue and S. Grotto Street opening on November 8! Another Bring Me The News article notes that the fourth location will be within the University of Minnesota’s campus, but won’t open till next year.

The one that I have been excited about is the new Punch Neapolitan Pizza location opening in Apple Valley! Bring Me The News states that this new location in the city’s Orchard Place development is the restaurant’s 13th location in the Twin Cities. And after checking Punch Pizza’s Instagram they posted that it should open in a little more than a week!

One other restaurant that is said to open this November is Shakopee House! Bringmethenews.com notes that the “Local restaurateur Tony Donatell quietly purchased Dangerfield’s Restaurant (1583 1st Ave. E) earlier this year and is preparing to open two new concepts in the 16,000-square-foot space in November.” If any of this sounds familiar it is because the bar that will open under Shakopee House (taking over Dangerfield’s), Rum Row Basement Tiki Bar, was inspired by a suitcase found in a ceiling. If you want to read more about that, visit my article here!

While we do not know the exact date Shakopee House will open, their official Instagram note it will be SOON! Shakopee House will bring you back in time to the speakeasy era, and Rum Row will have a Caribbean theme area and drinks.

While this restaurant is currently open, it is the owner that is changing. Harry's Scratch Kitchen (located at 20790 Keokuk Ave. S) in Lakeville will no longer be owned by Harry Brand. Bring Me The News points out that “a series of changes to the restaurant this fall and early winter will convert the locally-sourced, deli-style menu to an updated take on an old-school supper club, according to Jason Jenny,” who took over Harry’s Scratch with his wife. Like Tony Donatell, owner of Shakopee House, these two are majority owners of many other twin cities restaurants.

Bringmethenews.com also notes that while there will be changes, they will still continue to have “Locally-sourced ingredients and signature favorites, such as Cajun chicken pasta and scratch-made ice cream," on the menu.

Lastly, it is noted that Eat Street Crossing will be opening sometime in November! As noted by their bio on Instagram, they are “a community and flavor-focused food hall in Whittier, Minneapolis.” While they are not open yet, it has been highly anticipated. When venturing on their Instagram it is noted that the team behind the name “are creative culinary friends who came together to dream up something special that reflects the beautiful vibrancy of this neighborhood we all love.”

Bringmethenews.com explains that “the locally-led venture will include Ramen Shoten, Bebe Zito, ChaTime Bubble Teas and, two yet-to-be-announced concepts.” After looking through their Instagram I am wondering if this includes either their community-minded bar or wine wall, but we will just have to see!
