Jimmy Fallon and Kermit the Frog Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day With a New Version of “Bein’ Green”
The timing just happens to be pretty perfect -- the world's most recognizable green superstar, Kermit the Frog, has a new movie coming out - 'Muppets Most Wanted' - the very same week that kicks off with the world's most recognizable green holiday. Sure, Kermit probably doesn't imbibe too much on the holiday like the rest of us do, but that doesn't mean that it can't prove to be beneficial to his flagging self-esteem.
Kermit took to 'The Tonight Show' last night to trill one of his favorite songs, "Bein' Green," and the whole thing is a bit of a downer, at least at first. Just as Kermit is really getting sad about his place in the world -- and his ability to "blend in with so many ordinary things" -- host Jimmy Fallon shows up to remind everyone's favorite Muppet that there's one day when it actually is easy being green. Fortunately, today is that day.
'Muppets Most Wanted' opens in theaters on March 21.
