Large Fire Breaks Out at Rochester Cabinet Business
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- Rochester firefighters extinguished what was described as a large fire that broke out at a cabinet business along north Broadway Saturday evening.
A news release says crews were dispatched to the fire at Space Concepts in the 2,600 block of Broadway Ave. North shortly after 8:30 p.m. Responding firefighters reported seeing several wood piles and equipment ablaze outside of the single-floor structure.
Crews searched the inside of the building and confirmed no people or fire was inside. Firefighters also set up high-pressure fans to keep smoke out of the building while they fought the fire.
RFD also said they brought in a grapple truck to pull the wood piles apart to ensure there were no lingering flames. No injuries were reported and a damage estimate is not yet known.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. The Rochester Police Department, Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service and Rochester Public Utilities also responded to the blaze.
