Based on feedback from a season ticket holder survey, the Minnesota Wild will officially change its goal song for the upcoming season.

Once the wild score their first goal of the season, the fans attending the Xcel Energy Center are going to notice a new, but very familiar jam screaming through its speakers.

Starting this coming 2016-17 season, the Minnesota Wild announced today the team will change its goal song to Prince's "Let's Go Crazy!" in response to feedback the team received from a survey it sent to season ticket holders this summer.

The Minnesota Wild decided to poll season ticket holders after the team played the song during Game 6 of its Stanley Cup Playoff Series against the Dallas Stars on April 24, a few days following the Minnesota artist's death, and they voted nearly 2-to-1 in favor of the change.

The first preseason home game for the Minnesota Wild is Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. when the team hosts the Colorado Avalanche at Xcel Energy Center.

The Wild open the 2016-17 regular season on Thursday, October 13th in St. Louis, and return home to welcome the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday, October 15th at Xcel Energy Center - GO WILD!
