We all had our fingers crossed that 2021 would be a year of new beginnings where our kids would be in school 100% of the time again, having enough squares of toilet paper wouldn't be a worry, and our favorite businesses in Rochester, Minnesota would be back open and thriving.  Unfortunately, we know that wasn't the case and we saw a lot of businesses close for good in 2021.

2021 was another year of hardship and change for many, including the closures of beloved, popular businesses in our Rochester community.

2021 was another year that was full of challenges for businesses throughout the country, including Rochester, Minnesota. Unfortunately, our community saw many businesses that said "good-bye" and closed for good.

What Rochester business do you miss the most that closed in 2020?

When we all started our brand new 2020 year, the months ahead looked bright and promising. Unfortunately, 2020 was the year COVID-19 struck and has been a year of hardship and change for many, including the closures of beloved businesses in our Rochester community.
At times we would hear from business owners in a Facebook message that the sad decision was made to close their doors and other times, we found out that one of our favorite places was now closed by a note on the front door. No matter how the news came, my heart broke a little bit more for our community. Sadly, the list continues to grow but you can see the current list below.
