Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - There was a large police presence at an apartment building near the Northrop Community Education Center in Rochester on Sunday.

Police Captain Mike Sadauskis says officers responded to a residence at 917 4th Avenue Northwest shortly after 10 AM after receiving a report of a man lying on a rear deck area at the property. The officers discovered the man, identified as 22-year-old Ali Alfred Gombo, had died.

Police investigators were called to the scene, which is outside an apartment that Gombo shared with a relative. Sadauskis says the information gathered through the initial investigation and other factors found at the scene, indicates his death likely did not involve foul play.

An autopsy was ordered to determine the cause of his death.
