New app to fight parking tickets

We've all been there. You want to fight that pesky parking ticket on your windshield, but don't have the time or the energy to do it.

A new smart phone application promises to fight the battle for you.  The app is called Fix.

The app snaps a picture of the parking spot and violation code, and instantly calculates your chances of beating the rap. It also downloads and files all the proper paperwork, after guiding you through the evidence-gathering process, and suggesting ways to prove the citation was unfair. If you win, you pay fixed 25 percent of what the ticket would have cost you. If you lose, you don't pay at all.

Fixed is expected to launch in the Apple App store next week, although its service initially will only be available in San Francisco - which has the highest parking fines in the country.
