Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Work may begin soon on the latest apartment building in downtown Rochester.

The planned CityWalk project will be located in the southwest quadrant of 2nd St and 6th Ave SW and include the former Just Rite store site.

The plan was approved earlier this year but the developer came up with a new design after acquiring an additional lot on the south end of the site. That property is currently a multi-family housing building.

The additional lot has allowed the developer to increase the number of apartments in the new CityWalk project. The original design called for a seven-story building with 131 units. The new design calls for a six-story building with 142 units.
