Peterson Suspended for the Rest of the Year

The NFL announced this morning that Adrian Peterson has been suspended without pay for at least the rest of the season. He will not be considered for reinstatement before April 15, 2015, for violating the league's personal conduct policy. ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that Peterson is appealing the suspension immediately.
