Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A 29-year-old Rochester man is scheduled to be sentenced in February for a conviction linked to his arrest after a shooting outside the southeast Rochester KFC restaurant in October.

George Oliver was accused of shooting and wounding two teenagers in a car in the parking lot of the restaurant. Police initially identified Oliver as the getaway driver in the case, but later indicated that was a mistake and he was named as the suspected shooter.

He entered into a plea deal on Monday and admitted to a felony charge involving the illegal possession of a firearm and/or ammunition in exchange for the dismissal of two counts of second-degree assault. The man accused of being the getaway driver, 30-year-old Luke Giwa, is charged with aiding and abetting second-degree assault and is due in court later this month.
