Several years ago, I remember reading that a certain beer company was recalling six-packs of bottles because of worries that pieces of glass were present inside the bottles.

A friend wondered why they went to all the trouble of a recall when they could have just re-labeled the beer as "Chunky Style."

I was just thinking of that friend. He would have little to no problem buying himself a box or two of the baked goods that Walmart just announced a recall on.

The Recall Is Not About Pieces Of Glass, It's About Little Pieces Of Plastic

That's according to an announcement made yesterday by Enjoy Life Natural Brands:

Enjoy Life Natural Brands LLC announced today a voluntary recall, out of an abundance of caution, of a limited quantity of a select list of baked snacks products due to the potential presence of hard plastic pieces. The company became aware of this issue as a result of internal quality assurance surveillance.

The items were sold online and in-store in both the U.S. and Canada at Kroger, Wegmans, and other grocery stores--and in more than 4,440 Walmart stores across all 50 states, Washington D.C., and Puerto Rico.
