Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - After peaking in early November, COVID-19 activity continues to trend downward in Olmsted County and across much of the state.

That is almost 500 fewer cases than were reported on November 9 as the surge in the pandemic was hitting this region and is the lowest weekly count reported since October 19th. with an average of 50 to 55 new cases detected daily.

Statewide today, the Minnesota Department of Health reported another 34 coronavirus related deaths, including two deaths in Freeborn County. The daily update reports 1237 new infections with 64 of the new cases in Olmsted County.
