Rochester Police said that the owner of Med City Coins received a notification on his phone that an alarm went off at his business in the 300 block of Elton Hill Drive NW around 10:30 p.m. The owner checked the security cameras and couldn’t see anyone in the business, but could hear what he believed to be a power tool being used.

The owner told officers that he drove to the business and once he arrived, saw a black male wearing dark clothing walking up a hill and carrying a bag. The suspect got into a light-colored vehicle that appeared to be driven by a woman and drove away. The owner followed the vehicle but lost it.

Police said that the owner went back to the business and contacted law enforcement. The Rochester Fire Department also responded to the call to check the roof.

The fire department found a two-by-two foot hole in the roof of Design Integration, which is another business in the building. It appeared that the suspect took off before taking anything from either business.

No arrests were made.
