Rochester Lourdes Comes up Short at State

(Minneapolis, MN) -- Rochester Lourdes lost to Watertown-Mayer last night 71-58 in the quarterfinall round of the Minnesota State High School Girls basketballl tournament. The Eagles play Minnehaha Academy in the consolation round at 8 p.m. tonight.

In the other Class 2A games, Roseau beat NRHEG 82-64 New London Spicer overcame Esko 48-43 and Sauk Centre got by Minnehaha Academy 74-65.

In Class 3A
The Winona Winhawks defeated DeLaSalle 64-59. They will face Holy Angels this afternoon at 2 p.m. at Williams Arena. Orono and Alexandria play the other semi-final.

Class A starts quarterfinal play today at Mariucci Arena. Goodhue plays GHEC/Truman/Martin Luther at 3 p.m. this afternoon.

The Class 4A semi-finals are today at Williams Arena. Hopkins vs Eastview at 6 p.m. followed by Elk River against Lakeville North.
