Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester Police responded last night after a 23-year-old man reported what sounded like an attempted robbery.

The victim told officers he answered a knock on the door to his residence around 10:20 PM and found himself facing a black male holding a gun and wearing a mask and hooded sweatshirt. The young man indicated he responded by slamming the door shut and calling 911.

The apparent would-be robber was gone when police arrived at the residence in the 100 block of 6th Street Northwest. The incident remains under investigation.
