Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Two Rochester men have been charged with felony assault for attacking a Byron man last year, leaving the victim with broken teeth and other injuries.

The victim told Olmsted County deputies the two men attacked him with pipes, striking him “in the face and back of the head.”

According to the criminal complaint, 36-year-old Joshua Davis and 29-year-old Sergio Andres Jurado-Gonzalez showed up at the victim’s home the evening of Sept. 10 “and confronted him about wages they felt they were owed.”

The men fled when a neighbor intervened.

The complaint says “deputies arrived at the scene and observed an adult male laying in the yard actively bleeding from injuries sustained during the assault and arranged for him to be transferred to a medical care facility.“

The complaint says “following the assault, Victim reported receiving a text message from Defendant 1 apologizing for the "miscommunication."

The two men have been ordered to make their first court appearance in April.
