The two public swimming pools in Rochester have had some problems this summer, and Rochester Park and Rec Director Paul Widman discussed the issue with KROC-AM Friday morning.

Widman said that the pools are simply getting old and, therefore, costly to maintain with more frequent issues. There's certainly no glossing over the fact that a lot needs to be done to get the Silver Lake and Soldiers Field pools up to speed and Widman discussed how those needs might be addressed in the master plan the Park and Recreation department has been working on.

Rochester's director of Parks and Recreation, Paul Widman, is a regular monthly guest on KROC-AM.  His next appearance is scheduled for August 8th at 8:40 a.m.
