Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester’s Veterans Day program is scheduled to be held at the International Event Center Monday morning.

A free breakfast will be offered from 8:30 to 10:00. The official program is scheduled to begin at 10:30.

The Midwest Winds woodwind quintet of the Air Force Band of Mid-America will perform during the program. The ensemble honors veterans and active-duty military members across a ten state region in the Midwest. The featured speaker will be Robert Gross, Cemetery Administrator of Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs.

Also included will be Honor Guard marching with the Colors, The Bells for Eternity ringing the bell at 11:11, marking the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month to recognize the ending of World War One. Olmsted County Sheriff’s deputy Tracey Pagel will sing patriotic songs and there will be a presentation of “The Missing Man Ceremony” by the POW/MIA Riders.

The program is presented by the Soldiers Field Veterans Memorial committee.
