Sheriff’s Capt. Scott Behrns says the women got into an argument while driving in the area of Valleyhigh Rd and 60th Ave NW around 1:30 pm. Behrns says the passenger suddenly grabbed the steering wheel and tried driving into oncoming traffic.

The driver stopped, got out and tried calling 911 when the other woman confronted her before running into a nearby field.

Behrns says officers located the woman and after noticing she had a knife, tried using less-lethal sock rounds to get her to surrender. A state trooper then used a taser to subdue her.  The woman had cut her arm several times and was taken to the hospital for treatment and a psychological evaluation . She may face criminal charges.

Behrns says the women are in their 20s and were in a relationship.
