With football growing in popularity more and more every year, and countless leagues across the U.S., it was only a matter of time before a group of local young men would decide to strap on the pads and go play some competitive ball...

The Med City Freeze is an amateur 9-man full-contact football team out of Rochester who recently joined the SPFL, which is the Southern Plains Football League.

The rosters are made up of 50 players, of which only 40 will dress on game day. The Freeze have recruited and completed their team, and are ready to take on the North Iowa Bucks on April 30th at 7:00 p.m. at RCTC's Regional Stadium!

Scotty Matthews recently sat down with a couple of the local players in Tim Nela, Storm Soto and Jeff Sipple, and talked about the upcoming inaugural season of the Med City Freeze!
