Slick roads affecting morning commute
Light freezing rain is being reported this morning in parts of south central and southeast Minnesota and it is affecting driving conditions.
Numerous wrecks have been reported on I-35 between Owatonna and Albert Lea. The Goodhue County Sheriff’s Department is also reporting several traffic mishaps.
The State Patrol says a Rochester man apparently suffered a heart attack or some other medical problem before crashing his vehicle into the median wall of northbound Highway 52 near Civic Center Drive yesterday. The wreck happened around 5:45 p.m. Efforts to revive the man were unsuccessful. The name of the 78 year old has not been released yet.
