It’s already snowing in parts of central Minnesota and it will intensify through the day. By the time the latest winter storm leaves the state tomorrow, anywhere from half a foot to a foot of new snow could be on the ground in central and northern areas.

A major winter storm will impact the region today and tonight. Moderate to heavy snow will continue across central Minnesota, developing south and eastward this evening. Total accumulations of 6 to 12 inches are expected in the Winter Storm Warning area, with 3 to 6 inches in the Winter Weather Advisory area.

 

The Twin Cities could receive several inches tonight.   The southeastern corner of the state may receive 1 - 3 inches.
