Looking for fun adventures to go on with your kids this summer in Illinois and Wisconsin? Forget the internet, one mom has already done all the hard work for you!

Summer Break Is Here...Now What?

My kids have been on summer break from school for almost a month now, and I fear we're getting way too close to the part of the season when "I'm bored" whining starts. I HATE that part of the season.

Sure, sending the kids to camp is always a great option, but it's expensive and sometimes parents want to have some summer fun WITH their kids.

I'm pretty sure every parent has their go-to kid-friendly places to visit, but if you want to spice things up a bit this summer, you're going to love this list that one Wisconsin mom has created AND is sharing freely with the World.

The Ultimate Summer Adventure List for Illinois and Wisconsin Families

Living in Northern Illinois, I'm assuming we're all pretty familiar with the family-friendly attractions that are up for grabs in the Stateline area, but what about the fun that awaits us just North of the Illinois border?

For the last month or so I've seen a lot of my mom friends sharing this post that a Wisconsin woman named Kati McQueen created to help all parents (and kids) beat the summer-break boredom.

(Word of warning; this list has been getting added to and updated each year, so a few attractions may no longer be open/have changed hours, etc.)

Did you just discover a bunch of new places to explore with your kids this summer? I know I sure did.

I think every parent is obligated to share that info with at least one parent or family this summer. They say it takes a village to raise a child, so let's all pay it forward and support each other.

Thanks for the great info, Kati! You just saved parents everywhere from having to hear "I'm bored" constantly for the next couple of months, and for that, I am truly grateful.
