I've never seen one of these out in nature in all my time in Minnesota. Apparently, you can find them in stagnant bodies of water and they are ferocious predators.
While we complain about the cold, and the lingering winter-like conditions, we may be forgetting that at least frigid Northern Illinois weather keeps the bugs away...for the most part.
