Funding for the project, supplied by the Destination Medical Center (DMC), won approval from the corporation’s board earlier this month.

City officials have fielded numerous complaints about the raised letter pavers that are predominant throughout the pedestrian plaza since their installation.

Plans for the development include a market-rate housing and retail space.
