MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota Twins postponed their series opener against the Los Angeles Dodgers because of inclement weather.

The game will be made up Thursday as part of a day-night doubleheader.

With a cold, wet system hovering over Minnesota and forecast to linger all week, the scheduled game tonight will be tough to get in as well. Temperatures have been in the high 30s and low 40s, and rain mixed with snow has fallen since Saturday night.

It was the second straight rainout and the 11th postponed game for the Twins in five seasons at Target Field, six of which have been over the last two Aprils.

If the game is played tonight, Manager Ron Gardenhire says Kyle Gibson will be his starter, likely facing the Dodgers' Zach Greinke.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 tonight.  Pre-game coverage begins at 6:40 on KROC AM.
