Someone's watching over you. That's a comforting feeling that's impossible to replace. One Iowa family learned that one of their family dogs was doing something special. On their security camera, they saw this good girl was checking on their son every single night.

The Davitt family lives in Waukee, Iowa. They noticed their 2-year-old son named Jackson had been sleeping well without disturbance and wondered why. Here's the backstory they shared on the video share:

Brianna Davitt, 30, of Waukee, Iowa, United States, had noticed notifications in the middle of the night from the monitor located in her son’s bedroom. Her son, Jackson, 2, was never disturbed and his sleep wasn’t interrupted. It took months for Brianna to realize that her dog, Georgie, a seven-year-old Golden Retriever, was entering the room in the middle of the night to watch over Jackson.

Whenever Jackson would get restless, the family's Yellow Labrador Georgi would go check on him and often sleep the rest of the night at the foot of his bed.

My family had two Labrador Retrievers for years. One was a male Yellow Lab and the other was a female Black Lab. They were the most devoted dogs you could ever ask for. That's why the American Kennel Club regards them as one of if not the best dog breeds for families. The fact that Georgi refuses to leave the side of their son does not surprise me one little bit.

You can never ask for a better guardian than this Iowa dog. So very special.
