Lt. Gov. Yvonne Prettner Solon was to meet with her fellow Democrat on Monday about the fall ballot plan. She was wavering about whether to seek a new term along with Dayton. She said last week she arrived at a decision but wouldn't disclose it before meeting with Dayton.

The governor has refused to address the topic as long as Solon's decision was in limbo.

In 2010, the former state senator from Duluth was picked by then-Democratic candidate Mark Dayton to fill out his eventually successful ticket. In her term, she has led a task force on Capitol security and initiatives concentrating on senior citizens.
