Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Snow is slowly ending across southeast Minnesota after a late winter storm dumped several inches in some areas Sunday.

The National Weather Service is reporting snowfall totals of more than 6 inches in some parts of Olmsted County. The total at the Rochester airport through midnight was 6.4 inches. That raises the season total to 51 inches.

The snow from this storm is powdery, not like the wet, heavy stuff that fell during the large storm that hit the region late last month.

Several area school districts are opening late because of the snow. Rochester schools are open and on time.

Rochester Public Transit says it is running its normal schedule although there may be some delays.
