Winter Weather Advisory for Southeast Minnesota – December 9th, 2019
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until noon today for our listening area. The map above shows the advisory in purple. Heavier snow is expected in the pink region. The National Weather Service says southeast Minnesota could receive up to an inch of snow with a light glaze of ice. Your morning commute could be difficult and dangerous. You should plan for slick conditions and allow yourself extra time to reach your destination safely.
When the snow exits the area this afternoon temps will start to drop. We're expecting a high of 30-degrees today. We'll reach that high early as temps will have fallen into the teens by your evening commute. Really cold weather is expected Tuesday and Wednesday with highs both days only around 5 above.
