Million Dollar Wisconsin Mansion For Sale Doubles As Gothic Castle
If you have a million dollars lying around and would like to feel like you live in the 14th century, have I got a property for you to look at.
Alright, technically you'd need $1.1 million and you don't have to keep the decorating as is, but why wouldn't you. Anyone can live in a big Victorian mansion, but only a select few can say they live in a gothic castle.
It is currently being used as an AirBNB, but like many in the AirBNB world, they're trying to get out and sell this mansion while they still have some money.
Here's how they describe the property:
Zillow.com - Greeted by a gorgeous staircase and original 6ft stained glass windows in turret/2nd-floor reading nook. Main floor, two full kitchens with informal dining, formal dining, and living space with built-ins and fireplace, main floor family room with original woodwork. 4 bedrooms on the second level and 3 bedrooms on the third level with a movie theater room.
Let's take a look at how much goth you can get for a little over a million dollars in Hudson, Wisconsin.
This is a typical old Victorian house. Every town that is over 100 years old has a few of these somewhere in town. Sometimes they're very nice, sometimes they're very NOT nice. This is one of the nice ones.
The goth hits you right away. You want a cross? You have plenty to choose from. Do NOT worry about vampires in this house.
You definitely get an Addam's Family or Munsters vibe from the place. The length of that leather couch/bench combo is preposterous.
These are some AGGRESSIVE high back dining room chairs. Do they look comfortable? No. But at least you can kill yourself if you accidently fall into one.
Nothing says cozy like an all-black bathroom.
The kitchen is a weird juxtaposition between the kitchen and the rest of the house. I literally "LOL"ed when I say the neon Gothic Castle sign. Nothing screams Gothic quite like neon.
These are just normal shots of a nice house. Nothing really Gothic about it.
Back to the Gothic stuff. This is hopefully a bathroom. I have no idea what's on the wall.
Imagine sleeping in this every night. I could not.
The $1.1 million price tag is worth the skeleton mermaid alone. Just an amazing one of a kind piece of art. I'm not sure it's gothic though.
Same with this. This room makes me think of pirates. They are not Gothic, at least I don't think they are.
Worried you won't be able to decorate for Christmas and keep it Goth? Don't. It can obviously be done.
A complete shift in color tone for this room. It does look more comfortable then the other room.
There's a non-goth movie room.
And what Gothic Castle would be complete without an above ground pool and a hot tub tucked into the corner of the yard?
This could all be yours for the low price of $1,100,000.
