Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A convicted Rochester drug dealer has been sentenced to six months in jail.

45-year-old Vanna Thouk recently entered a guilty plea to a first-degree drug possession charge through a plea agreement. Olmsted County court records indicate that a first-degree drug sales charge and a count of fifth-degree drug possession were dismissed.

Tip From Citizen

According to the criminal complaint in the case, Thouk was arrested in February of last year after Rochester police received a tip that she was selling drugs out of her vehicle. The court document says the investigation included surveillance of what investigators described as “short-term transactions indicative of controlled substance sales.”

Search Warrant and Traffic Stop

According to the charges, Rochester police executed a search warrant at her residence in the 1100 block of East Center Street and initiated a traffic stop after she was seen leaving in a car. The criminal complaint says that after the vehicle was stopped, Thouk admitted she had “stuff” in a black bag, which was found to contain 11 fentanyl pills and some methamphetamine.

The search of the residence led to the seizure of a pill bottle and a cloth bag containing methamphetamine. The total amount of drugs seized by investigators was approximately 65 grams.
