Water Repairs Close Seminary Street in Rockford
Some drivers in Rockford should prepare for traffic disruptions beginning this Tuesday, February 17, as the City of Rockford's Water Division begins emergency water service repairs in the 1200 block of Seminary Street.

Seminary Street will be closed at Baker Place to all southbound traffic, with limited local access permitted. Traffic control measures will be in place during the closure, but officials are urging motorists to find an alternate route or use caution when traveling through a work zone.
If water service must be temporarily shut off, residents in the affected area will receive notifications posted directly on their front doors. The work is expected to last between one to three business days, weather permitting.
Sewer Repairs to Impact 17th Avenue Corridor
Another busy Rockford corridor will also face a temporary closure next week, causing possible traffic headaches for commuters.

According to a press release from Four Rivers Sanitation Authority, sanitary sewer repairs will being Tuesday, February 17, along 17th Avenue.
The closure will affect 17th Avenue between 16th and 17th Streets, with traffic control measures in place through the work zone for the duration of the project, which officials are expecting to complete by Friday, February 20, pending favorable weather conditions.
